Bob Fawthrop is an Independent Consultant focused on creating sustainable relationships.

Bob started work in the IT department of a Stockbroker, rapidly moved into the IT industry where he held a number of roles, culminating in EMEA Marketing Director at Burroughs/Unisys, then UK Sales Director at EDS, from that to European Business Development Director at Perot Systems, followed by a move ultimately resulting in global MD for Outsourcing in Logica. This was followed by CEO of a European Sourcing consultancy.
For the last 7 years, Bob has been an independent consultant advising Major Client Organisations, IT Service Organisations and SMEs achieve success in the fields of back office optimisation, contract and commercial analysis & negotiation and Insourcing and Outsourcing. Most recently bob has also acted as an Interim Global CIO for a world leading media organisation.

Morgan Chambers March 2004 – January 2006
  • Grew business by 18% first year and margin by 400%, grew business second year by 25% while maintaining margin while Consultancy Sector was at best flat.
  • Performed all normal CEO roles for a non-traded (small) PLC including reporting to Stock Exchange committees and Companies House. Also acted as COO (in absence of this function). Appointed staff and Directors (including non-Executive).
  • Lead strategic review of business with plan to go to AIM/IPO, including potential acquisitions. Worked with Private Equity and Venture Capitalists.
  • Responsible for operations in UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden plus engagements in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Denmark.

Also facilitated and ran workshops for a few.
Logica March 1997 – February 2004
  • Head of Global Outsourcing for LogicaCMG. In this role devised LogicaCMG’s global delivery model. Presented to major clients from UK, Netherlands, and most European countries, SE Asia, Australia and United States. Also did a strategic review of United States Operations for CEO. Regularly reported to PLC Board. Lead engagement with Edinfor (ultimately purchased by LogicaCMG). Presented at numerous conferences and to Investor Analysts with Martin Read and Jim McKenna.
  • Marketing Director – Logica UK. Revised Sales and Marketing plans.
  • Outsourcing leader for Logica Europe and Outsourcing Sales and Marketing Director for Logica UK. Part of management team that has increased Logica outsourcing business by a factor of 10 in 4 years. Lead (and was responsible for procurement of Hyder IT Services. Responsible for sales and all marketing of Logica outsourcing business. Significant experience in shaping and agreeing commercial agreements both with third party and customer organisations including leading commercial team negotiating £250m business process outsource contract. Personally responsible for sales into ABI, Air Miles, Barclaycard, Barclays, British Energy, Citibank, Britannia Airways, Hewlett Packard, International Petroleum Exchange, NEDL, QBE, Savacentre and Standard Chartered Bank.
